Chenpi or chen pi is fresh sun-dried tangerine (mandarin orange) peel used as a traditional seasoning in Chinese cooking and traditional medicine. They are aged by storing them dry. They have a pungent and bitter taste.
The health benefits of Chen Pi have been proven and used in the treatment of diarrhea, nausea, peptic ulcers and indigestion. Allergies and digestive disorders can also benefit from Chen Pi as well as mastitis. Vomiting, hiccups, constipation and coughing are ailments that can benefit from the health benefits of Chen Pi. It is also known to enhance blood circulation, act as a painkiller and can be effectively used in the treatment of scurvy.
Note: Not good for the pregnant and baby.

Taste: The flavor is spicy and sweet but has a pungent bitter after taste.
Preparation: Use 3-5pcs Chen Pi per 250ml of water. Heat water to 90-95℃ and steep for 1-3 minutes.

I boil a pot of water and then take the lid off and let it cool to the right tetrmpaeure, which is around 200 degrees Fahrenheit. I let it steep for about five minutes and then remove my infuser and pour myself a cuppa nice. It's good and relaxing.Arrived in the condition seen in the picture, with the tea sealed up in a little plastic bag inside of it. I'd recommend it.
