Snowflakes Jasmine Tea
Snowflakes Jasmine Tea (Bi Tan Piao Xue)
Jasmine tea is also called jasmine-flower tea. The jasmine plant is grown at high elevation in the mountains and Jasmine is regarded and adored in China as the "world's best fragrance".
Tea leaves are harvested in the spring and stored until early summer when fresh Jasmine flowers are in bloom. Jasmine flowers are picked early in the day when the small petals are tightly closed. The flowers are kept cool until nightfall. In the early evening when the flowers begin to open, the tea is blended with the Jasmine flowers and stored overnight. The night blooming Jasmine flowers then open and release their fragrance into the tea. It takes over four hours for the tea to absorb the fragrance and flavor of the jasmine blossoms; this process may be repeated for as many as six or seven times. The tea absorbs moisture from the fresh Jasmine flowers so it must be re-fired to prevent spoilage.
The name means "Snowflakes", so called because the tea leaves resemble snowflakes falling from the sky when infused. This jasmine-scented tea is produced from the finest quality Green tea leaves from Fujian province of China. Recommended to all Green tea lovers and a must try if you like jasmine-scented teas.

Green tea is normal tea that has been pikced earlier than normal black tea. Green tea is high in antioxidants which helps expel free radicals(cell stuff). I only drink plain organic green tea with some honey. Love this flavor with sweet jasmine.
