Most Famous Oolong Tea Tie Guan Yin, also called "Iron Guanyin", "Iron Goddess of Mercy", "Ti Kuan Yin", "Tit Kwun Yum", "Ti Kwan Yin", "Iron Buddha" and "Iron Goddess Oolong".
This is the most famous Chinese Oolong teas. The name Ti Kuan Yin means "Iron Goddess of Mercy" and the tea is as magnificent as its name implies. Long long time ago, a kind-hearted but poor farmer had a dream: the goddess of mercy, Kuan Yin, came to him and spoke of a great treasure in a nearby cave.
There, he found a single tea shoot. He planted it and it grew into a tea bush with exceptional quality tea leaves, then he gave cuttings to his neighbors. And they all prospered by creating beautiful, flowery oolongs. The County soon prospered due to the popularity of the tea. Today, it’s popular throughout the world.
Weight: 50-250 grams Harvest Time: Spring Taste: This tea has a light green jade color. It produces a very flowery aroma and sweet taste. It is more similar to green tea than Oolong.

I started bnyiug Chinese Oolong Tea after reading that it increases the metabolism by 10% which is much higher than the green tea I had been drinking. I've read green tea only increases the metab by 4%. I'd have to drink almost 5 cups of green tea to get the benefits of drinking only 2 cups of Oolong. Green tea has been my good buddy since 1998 when my sister introduced me to it, but I have to say goodbye. Oolong tastes better than green tea as well.
